James Caird Public Tours 2026-27

An hour long tour of Shackleton related memorabilia, including the James Caird lifeboat.
Public tours run most Fridays at 11:15am. We aim to release new dates roughly 6-weeks in advance, although this is not always possible (NB availability may be reduced during exam season, and the route may change to minimise disruption to pupils).
Please note that this tour involves a short walk and stairs. If you have accessibility needs, including access for wheelchair users, please email in advance so that we can do our best to accommodate them.
No luggage can be stored on site, although you can carry larger items, such as backpacks, on the tour.
